Thank you for getting in touch. This is most likely to be an issue with the username being used when you log in. Please follow these steps carefully and let us know whether this has worked for you.
-
Please make sure you are logging on with your LSE network username, not your LSE email or personal Mail account. You can only access online resources, using this username and password. Your LSE network username was sent to you when you activated your IT account. It will look something like BLOGGS or maybe BLOGGS1
-
If your browser is auto logging into the website with your email address, this is because the wrong username has been saved or it may auto log you in with the email address if you are already logged into an application using this method on another tab in the browser. It may allow you to login, but will not give you full access to our electronic resources.
-
To fix this, you will need to clear the windows cache and cookies and clear data in the Windows private and security settings and then close the windows. This will delete the wrong username that has been saved.
-
Try logging in again (Moodle or Library Search) but make sure you are using your LSE username and password. For Moodle choose the LSE Identity Provider button when you reach the sign in page, to log in.
-
If you don’t wish to clear all your saved passwords and clear the cache, you can access the resources (with the correct username and password) via an incognito window.
-
Open the incognito window in Google Chrome (Ctrl + Shift + n with Windows, Chrome and Linux OS; ⌘ + Shift + n on if you've a Mac) – or use a different web browser than usual (e.g. Firefox, if you usually use Chrome or Safari).
-
Then log on with your IT username and password to Moodle or Library Search
